Rep. Walkinshaw Statement Denouncing Iranian Regime's Human Rights Abuses

Washington, D.C. -- Today, Congressman James R. Walkinshaw (VA-11), a Member of the Committees on Oversight and Government Reform and Homeland Security, released the following statement.

"Since protests erupted in December, thousands of Iranians have been executive or arbitrarily detained by the regime.

The Iranian people deserve a free and democratic future, one that is no longer defined by repression, violence, and fear at the hands of an authoritarian government."
