Washington, D.C. -- Today, Congressman James R. Walkinshaw (VA-11) released the following statement in response to the court victory for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and Veterans Affairs employees. 

“Today’s ruling is a win for federal workers and another major defeat for the Trump administration in the courts. The judge made it clear: retaliating against VA employees for standing up for themselves and the veterans they serve is unlawful. Federal workers deserve the right to organize, speak out, and advocate for the resources our veterans rely on. This decision restores those protections and sends a message that this Administration cannot bully the public servants who keep our government running and care for those who served our country.”
