As a Fairfax County Supervisor, James helped Fairfax maintain its status as the safest large jurisdiction in the United States, with the lowest violent crime rate. That status is the result of investing in law enforcement, investing in communities, and investing in building partnerships between law enforcement and communities.
In Congress, James will work to increase federal support for local law enforcement while advocating for policies that ensure due process. He will fight to expand resources for mental health crisis response, so that law enforcement has the right tools for every situation. James also believes that protecting civil rights and protecting public safety go hand in hand, and that communities are strongest when trust and accountability are at the core of public safety. |
